30 Days of Thankful: Days 14 & 15

Ooops.  I missed a day.  Yesterday was so busy, and I forgot to be thankful.  Actually, that’s not true.  Driving home last night, I noticed our city had turned off the Christmas lights in the port park, and changed all the pavilion lights to red, white and blue.   Then I noticed the casino next to the port had done the same thing to the lights on its hotel.  The casino.  It kinda blew me away.  And I was proud of my city, and thankful we live in a country that rises to the occasion.  Because I remember some crap about 14 years ago, about how we should boycott French fries because we didn’t think enough was done, or said.  Whatever.  When the time comes, we step up.  We offer prayers and unconditional support and helping hands where we can.  I am thankful to be a United States citizen.  Aujourd’hui, je suis un Parisien
