I am thankful for a vacation! For a few days around Thanksgiving, I go see my family in South Carolina. This is time I pretty much cannot work (except last year, when I used my mom’s Cricut machine to fulfill a last minute banner order, but let’s just hope the need doesn’t arise again!) I just kinda lounge around, hike a couple of my favorite trails, and drink too much wine. (Not that I seem to need a vaca for that!) Of course, I get to see my family, some of whom I pretty much only see once a year. And that’s great too. But back to the vacation part; I just don’t ever get a day off, being in business for myself two times over, so it’s really nice to have even just a couple of days where I am physically separate from work. Of course I still answer customer emails and that sort of thing, but not being in the normal day-to-day schedule–that’s what I call a vacation!
