Here are a few more random retro rehab projects! First up, a gloomy solid wood wall organizer turned chic and shabby seaside cottage decor.
Detail view of the decoupaged seashells. Aren’t they pretty?
Next, oh boy! Half a wood storage trunk. In clunky stained oak. With gross red felt liner. But I saw hope! Here it is with its new burlap lined bottom.
And a new coat of paint with decoupaged vintage dictionary pages. I reused the original hardware because it just seemed to fit (better than before if you ask me!) With the paper on all sides, you can no longer see the old hinge screw holes in the back. It is ready to rock and role as a handy media storage device!
Plain Jane 1980’s wall shelf in need of paint revamped with new paint, metallic gold wax, and a large seashell. You can totally see this in a beach cottage or condo powder room, right?
An auction mistake–this satin glass vase with an unfortunate retro dried flower-esque silkscreen. The “before” picture shows it after I sanded it. The after shows it super cute with jute twine, vintage doily and lace, and a starfish.
These match dispensers do pretty well but they are available in much better condition than this one, which shows a lot of rust. I have these cute repro vintage labels–perfect right? I think so.
Finally, this boring vintage wood fruit bowl from my Labor Day weekend haul?
Try Anthropolgie-worthy vintage dictionary decoupaged and distressed awesomeness!
With a cute trio of ceramic pumpkins.
